Description
Loren Kaplan attempts to integrate symbolic, visual, tactile and spiritual values blending form, function and meaning into her work. Her works resonate with light, sound, patterns and textures. Her works include one-off pieces, created by coiling and hand-building as well as specialised ranges of wheel-thrown work. The surfaces of the vessels are then carved, sculpted or engraved with intricate patterns and symbols which combine the geometric and organic.
